Templates, Queue & History

Managing campaign templates, monitoring the mail queue, and campaign history statistics

Three companion pages support your campaign work: Campaign Templates stores your reusable content, Mail Queue shows every sent and pending email, and Campaign History analyzes the performance of sent campaigns. All three are reachable from the buttons at the top right of the Campaigns page.

Templates

A template stores the campaign name, subject, reply-to address, email body (visual blocks, MJML, or raw HTML), selected segments, and attachments together.

Saving a template

  1. Prepare your content on the Campaigns page.
  2. Click Save as Template, enter a template name, and save.
  3. Saving again with the same name updates the existing template (no duplicate is created).

Using and managing templates

Each template card on the Campaign Templates page offers these actions:

  • Preview: shows the content with merge tags filled from sample data; the subject, reply-to address, and segments are also visible.
  • Edit: updates the name, subject, reply-to address, and content in the same editor.
  • Use: loads the template with all its fields into the campaign page, where you can adjust and send it.
  • Delete: permanently removes the template (cannot be undone).

The badge on each card shows the content type: Visual (block-based), MJML, or Raw HTML. You can search by name and subject.

Mail Queue

The Mail Queue page shows all mail records in your active workspace in a single list: sent emails, emails waiting in the queue, and failed ones.

  • When a campaign enters distribution, one queue record is created per recipient; the record appears as "queued" before the email is actually sent.
  • Queued records preview the subject and body with merge tags already resolved against recipient data — you see exactly what each recipient will receive.
  • Each row shows the campaign name, subject, recipient, scheduled time, send time, sent/error state, and whether the recipient replied.

The queue is workspace-scoped; switching workspaces via the picker at the top left shows that workspace's queue.

Campaign History

The Campaign History page shows the delivery and engagement performance of sent campaigns.

Overview stat cards

Totals for the selected date range: Total Sent, Delivered, Open Rate, Click Rate, Bounce Rate, and the number of campaigns. The date filter offers last 7/30/90 days, a custom range, or all time.

Daily performance chart

Shows the daily breakdown of delivered, opened, and clicked counts in three bar charts.

Campaign list

Each campaign row includes:

  • Campaign name, subject, creation date, and targeted segments
  • To send (total recipients in the segment), Sent, Open percentage, Click percentage, Bounce percentage
  • Status badge: "Paused" or "Completed"
  • Pause / Resume button: pause a running campaign or resume a paused one (shown only for campaigns in the "running" or "paused" state).

You can search the list by name/subject and sort by date, open rate, or click rate.

Mini scenarios

Scenario 1 — Sending the monthly newsletter from a template: A marketer sends a similarly formatted newsletter every month. While preparing the first one, they save it as a template named "Monthly Newsletter". The next month they click Use on the templates page, update only that month's content, and send. To keep the changes, they save it again under the same name — the existing template is updated.

Scenario 2 — Diagnosing a low open rate: A team lead wants to review the latest campaign's performance. In Campaign History they select the last 30 days and sort campaigns by open rate. Noticing one campaign with a high bounce rate, they inspect the failing recipients in the Mail Queue, click Pause on the running campaign, clean up the list, and then resume it.
